Tours 4 Tips
At 3pm we set off for our walking tour….. we did think it was a normal free walking tour but soon realized that โtips were essential.
The tour starts outside Museo De Bellas Artes. Hector was our tour guide and knew a hell of a lot of history on Santiago….maybe a little too much. Was a solid three hour tour and we definitely underestimated how cold it can get in April.

Bellas Artes Street Art
Cathedral in Plaza de Armas
Escape route behind GAM building
City map of Santiago 18th Century in Plaza de Armas

Definitely worth doing, costs around 6,000 CLP and a great insight to the history of the city.
Top Tip:
Make sure you have loose change for the metro!
It would also be worth doing some homework on chilean history to have a basic understanding.
Local Dogs

There are over 4.5 million stray dogs roaming this country. 1.5 million reside in Santiago. The locals love them and they are well fed and looked after. In the winter you will often see them with little coats on. They are super friendly and smart…however I would avoid patting them as you can never be too sure.
