Wedding and Sand dunes in Concón

The main reason for going to Chile was to go to our friends wedding. With the groom (Jimmy) being from Gisborne, and Fernanda from Santiago, it was always going to be an interesting occasion combining the two cultures! It’s safe to say, it was an awesome event! The venue was absolutely stunning, with plenty of incredible food, wine and of course Piscos! The party went well into the night, with everyone having an amazing time. Something we will never forget.

The Sand Dunes in Concón is only a 5 minute drive away!

After spending most our time around the hotel, enjoying the tranquil ocean views and relaxing, we ventured out to the concon sand dunes. We borrowed one of the others’ cars and took a short drive to the dunes. It was a bizarre experience. These massive sand dunes opposite a shopping centre!! The place was packed with locals sand boarding, having a picnic and waiting for the sun to go down. The views were unreal!
