Tuesday
James and I had a very relaxing day at home and in Ostuni town. After breakfast we headed into town to explore beautiful lanes leading out to a stunning view. Olive oil, clothing boutiques, food spots and my favourite… stores selling fig with crates and crates of them! Really fuelling my addiction.
Wednesday
Monopoly was the next spot and in the morning we went with John, Emma and Jeremy. Great sea side Historical town with a castle to explore (only opens at 10am). We went first thing just as the shops were opening. Great great coffee!
Top Tip:
Coffee order is an espresso macchiato

This holiday is to celebrate John’s birthday so lunch at for Masseria Potenti was the special day. It was an hour and a bit away and Emma was very organised in ordering a taxi van so we could all enjoy the vino! This place was a stunning estate, it is a family owned hotel and dining place with the cutest vintage shop to browse through at the end.
We had a range of small starters to share, a primo and secondo. Really really lovely food, the pasta is so fresh and light. Define 9/10 💫
Thursday
Another beautiful day to enjoy by the pool!
Minna was coming for dinner! Emma organised so many delicious places to enjoy wining and dining on this holiday, she even organised Minna the chef to come and teach us a few classic Puglia dishes. Our first lesson was Braciale which is rolled veil seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, parmigiana and parsley.
We then made Meat balls which was a combination of veil, eggs, breadcrumbs and the same seasoning of the Braciale.
Next was the pasta! Orrechiete passata made with simolina flour and water, so basic. The people from Puglia call this cucina povera (meaning poor kitchen) as you only need to simple ingredients.
